About Center

Warm Water Exercise Pool Water Classes
Individuals with arthritis, pre- and post-joint replacement, spinal stenosis, herniated disc, should problems, diabetes, Parkinson’s, obesity and other physical impairments are excellent candidates for water exercise. All water exercise offers resistance with virtually no impact. We have classes for those who have difficulty with floor exercises and for those who simply want to increase their fitness and feel better. Water classes are scheduled in quarter sessions. Class size is limited and advance registration and an “All Inclusive” pass or Medicare Advantage program is required to reserve your place in the class. The pool is 86 to 88 degrees making it ideal for reducing both joint stress and muscle tension. No class requires participants to go underwater; and depending on confidence in the water, participant does not need to know how to swim. Floatation devices are available. The shallowest water is four feet deep and the deepest is five feet. Several open pool periods are available during the day for those who wish to relax and play or follow their own exercise routines.

Fitness Room
The Wellness Center features a fitness room equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, a rower, elliptical trainers, sit down ellipticals, NuSteps, varies weight machines and free weights. Participation requires a monthly membership pass which can be purchased on-line through the LPR portal or visit our office. We offer a BASIC pass for the gym only or a BASIC PLUS pass for gym, exercise classes and open pool. Breakdown of the cost.

Fitness Classes
A variety of floor exercise classes are offered: Dance Aerobics, Chair Yoga, Rock Steady Boxing, Silver Sneaker’s Classic, Spin & Suspend, Zumba and Zumba Gold, Yoga, Pilates Fit, Cardio Drumming, Suspension Strength, Barre and Beat Fit. Our Wellness Coordinator can be available by appointment to assist members in choosing the type and level of exercise to fit their individual needs and to conduct equipment orientations.
